Big Daddy is under new management. Surprisingly, they upgraded their air-conditioning units and interior. Their barbers were retained. during its first month of operation, the place was OK, but as months passed, the place gets noisy. Their (barbers) kids and wives loiter the place (enjoying the cool a/c) as they chit-chat and the kids plays around shouting and ranting. If you want a relaxing place, keep out of this place.

Meralco Electric Power Grid Sub-Station,

As an electrical engineer I would like to comment that much energy is wasted because of the massive mess of the electrical power grid in the cities of Manila and surrounding cities. I've been living here for most of a year and have seen clusters of connections with no consideration to induction or impedance. The wires are connected in whatever fashion comes to mind and are simply added to wherever seems easiest. No wonder there are brown outs and black outs whenever the wind picks up, It would be cost effective in the long run to re-design most of the grid. Perhaps the technicians should see efficient power lines as occurs in the USA. There are nearly no crossovers and no parallel lines running against power flow in the USA. If the USA grid were like that in the Philippines, we would need twice the power that we have now.
